THAT'S INCREDIBLE - Pixar's next big release The Incredibles
THAT'S INCREDIBLE
Pixar's next animated feature is called The Incredibles. Directed by Iron Giant helmer Brad Bird, this is the story of a retired Superhero called Mr Incredible who is called into service one more time to save the planet. The only problem is that since he retired he's put on a bit of weight and lives in the suburbs with his family. With voices supplied by Craig T. Nelson (Poltergeist), Holly Hunter (The Piano), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Star Wars), Jason Lee (Chasing Amy) and Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride) this looks like it could be another Pixar classic.

Ain't it Cool News has posted a review of a very early cut of the movie. It is mainly made up of story boards and the actors dialogue but there where a few almost completed sequences. Here is a snippet...
It starts out with Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) having a really busy day, people robbing banks and blowing up buildings, and he's getting married to Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), when the adolescent president of his fan clubshows up with the intention of becoming Mr. Incredible's sidekick (coining himself Incrediboy), but quickly proves to be a greater liability and is rejected.

Here are a couple of character run downs...
Violet: Mr. Incredible's awkward, shy, teenage daughter. She speaks as little and as monosylabbically as possible. She has a very slight goth teenage rebel "the world is too much and it hates me" thing about her. Her superpower? Invisibility! How perfect is that?
"E": this short fiesty lady is THE superhero costume designer! Voiced by: Brad Bird! They couldn't find anyone who had the same attitude and inflections to make the character work, so Mr. Bird's voice stayed. E does a great run down of why she won't do superhero costumes with capes...
The teaser trailer has just been released onto the web and it is absolutely hilarious.
The movie opens in the US November 5th 2004 and in December in the UK.
